HAPPY NEW YEAR! (Where is Everybody?)

Happy 2017!  I'm extra happy today because I just found out I get one more day of Winter Vacation from school!  Even though my Dad tried telling my Mom he didn't think I had school today, it being a Government Holiday with New Year's Day yesterday and all, Mom was back in the routine making sure I had everything I needed and out the door to get me to class on time this morning!  Imagine her surprise when we arrived and the parking lot was completely empty!  She may be schedule challenged, but I'll always love My Idiot Mom!

Unfortunately My Idiot Mom doesn't quite understand that House of Cards is a terrific cutting edge political thriller starring Kevin Spacey & Robin Wright, & all Season 3 episodes are out on Netflix today. My Idiot Mom won't be binge watching House of Cards She'll be binge building them. I love My Idiot Mom!

My Idiot Mom's Out of Town

My Idiot Mom was out of town last week for 4 days.  She takes a lot of time preparing us for her leave of absence including cleaning, washing, grocery shopping and prepping school lunches.  My Idiot Mom also makes an easy list for My Idiot Dad to follow (at Dad's request) to ensure everything with a pulse in the house stays alive while she's gone!  Despite My Idiot Mom's BEST efforts, she knows that she will return to the CESSPOOL OF DUST.  Even though she returned 3 days ago, she is still finding cesspool evidence, like the indescribable remnant's from one of the meals out with Dad on the front of my hoodie, which Dad hung up in the front hall closet.  No worries though.  My Idiot Mom has touched way worse disgusting stuff off me and in the blink of an eye had the semi-chewed hardened mass between her fingers and into the trash bin, and the hoodie in the wash!  I love My Idiot Mom!

Despite my BEST efforts to not be the focus for My Idiot Mom's shots, tweets, blogs, posts or grams, she takes my picture anyway!  I still love My Idiot Mom (even though she doesn't have the best photographic eye or respect for personal space!)

Worms on our Table?

A bit of a start this morning for My Idiot Mom when she noticed dead worms on our kitchen table.  She hadn't had her coffee yet or she would have seen sooner that it was last night's that spaghetti dried on the table overnight because she forgot to wipe off the table after dinner.  Phew.  (Secretly, I hope it's worms next time.)  I love My Idiot Mom.

My Idiot Dad went to Afghanistan for work for 5 month & sent me this funny t-shirt.  My Idiot Mom dressed me in it for school under a sweatshirt thinking no one would see.  She didn't bet on me getting hot & taking off my sweatshirt in day care after! When she picked me up, she discovered "Mr. Rodney" my after-school teacher turned my t-shirt inside out! I love My Idiot Mom!

MY IDIOT MOM LOVES MUD!

YES!  My Idiot Mom let me go ahead of her with my buddies on a bog walk (she thought I said, "Dog walk,) and she didn't catch up for a good 10 minutes!  She also thought my rain boots would keep my feet nice and dry, but they immediately came off in the mud and I got to play in my socks!  I love My Idiot Mom!

My Idiot Mom is so smart!  I'm almost 7, and she's finally discovered books, and that if she keeps them in her car for me, I'll read them instead of playing or watching a video on her i-Something!

Oops, look at what My Idiot Mom did this morning!  She left the grocery store without her groceries!  We weren't even out of the parking lot though before she realized what she did!  It's a good thing she remembered to have me get in the car!  I love My Idiot Mom!

My Idiot Mom & Her iPad & Me

Oops.  Look what My Idiot Mom did!  She purchased some "gems" for me for one of my fun iPad games and, because her iPad password stayed active for 15 minutes after she entered it, I "accidentally" purchased over $100.00 more!  (Luckily, American Express reverses charges, no questions asked!)
